Construction of new school building completed in Afghanistan’s Sari Pul

KABUL, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) — The construction of a school building has been completed in Sancharak district, northern Afghanistan’s Sari Pul province, the provincial education department said in a statement on Monday.
Built at a cost of more than 222,000 U.S. dollars, the building has eight classrooms and four administrative offices, equipped with 160 chairs and tables, as well as a solar power system, the statement added.
In another development project, the construction of a 15-km road has commenced in rural areas of central Daykundi province, worth 15 million afghanis (about 212,000 dollars).
The Afghan caretaker government plans to launch more development and infrastructure projects on its domestic budget across the war-ravaged country to tackle economic challenges and create jobs. ■
